True Blessing (Psalm 32)

February 19, 2017 Speaker: David Royes Series: Single Messages: Stand Alone Messages from a Variety of Speakers at FBC

Topic: Blessing Scripture: Psalm 32

The idea of the “cover up” or the “perfect crime” has been glamorized by Hollywood. But, as is often the case, the reality is quite a bit different. Even if we could keep our deepest, darkest sins a secret… we have a God who knows us intimately. As King David said in Psalm 32, “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long… But when I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’ – you forgave the guilt of my sin.” The greatest blessing that God gives is not financial security, fame, or health. The greatest blessing is the forgiveness of our sins, which brings freedom, joy, and peace.
